Our University and Trine University in the United States Held a Video Conference on Sino foreign Cooperative Education in the new Semester
9月19日晚，我校与美国特莱恩大学召开中外合作办学工作线上会议，商讨陕西理工大学特莱恩工学院新学期建设发展相关问题。特莱恩大学副校长Keirsten Eberts、学术执行主任Brittni Heiden、高级学术总监Joshua Pranger、全球事务部主任Jenson Jiang，以及我校校长、特莱恩工学院院长王磊，国际处、教务处、特莱恩工学院、数计学院、电气学院、机械学院相关负责人和老师参加会议。
On the evening of September 19, our university and Trine University in the United States held an online meeting on Sino-foreign cooperative education to discuss issues related to the construction and development of the new semester of the Trine Engineering Institute at Shaanxi University of Technology. Trine University’s Vice President Keirsten Eberts, Academic Executive Director Brittni Heiden, Senior Academic Director Joshua Pranger, Director of Global Affairs Jenson Jiang, as well as the President of our university and Dean of the Trine Engineering Institute Wang Lei attended the meeting. Relevant leaders and teachers from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges,Academic Affairs Office, Trine Engineering Institute, School of Mathematics and Computer Science,School of Electrical Engineering and School of Mechanical Engineering also attended the meeting.

首先，王磊就一年来双方共同努力下，特莱恩工学院跨越式发展和突出成绩表示肯定和赞许。他讲到：一年来，两校多次商讨洽谈，克服种种困难，坚 持“应用型、特色性、国际化”的办学定位，不断打造卓越课堂、优质教学，推进学校中外合作办学发展质量；并提出未来特莱恩工学院将不断创新，积极探索中外合作办学新模式、新思路、新方法。他感谢美国特莱恩大学对电气2201班（中外）史宇翔同学近期赴美参观访问热情、周到的招待。此行史宇翔同学专门拜会了特莱恩大学校长John Shannon教授，他向Shannon教授详细汇报了在特莱恩工学院一年来的学习、生活情况，并表达了他后期计划到美国特莱恩大学留学的深深期望。
Firstly, Wang Lei commended both parties for the joint efforts over the past year to promote the achievements and good development trend of the Trine Engineering Institute. He mentioned that over the past year, the two universities have discussed and negotiated multiple times, overcame various difficulties, adhered to the educational positioning of "applicability,distinctiveness,and internationalization", continuously creating excellent classrooms and high-quality teaching, and promoting the quality of the school's Sino-foreign cooperative education development. In the future, the Trine Engineering Institute will continue to innovate and actively explore new models, ideas, and methods of Sino foreign cooperative education. At the same time, we would like to express our gratitude to Trine University in the United States for their warm and thoughtful reception of Shi Yuxiang, a student from the Electrical Engineering Class 2201 (Sino-foreign cooperation), during his recent visit to the United States.
Keirsten Eberts对一年来两校辛勤付出的教师表示衷心的感谢，并表示特莱恩大学也在不断建设，新的校区已经建设完成，欢迎陕西理工大学师生前往参观学习，她认为，两校应紧密联系，加强合作，为特莱恩工学院更好地发展提供大力支持。
Keirsten Eberts expressed her sincere gratitude to the teachers of the two universities for their hardworking over the past year, and expressed that Trine University is also constantly building and the new campus has been completed. She welcomes teachers and students from Shaanxi University of Technology to visit and study. She believes that the two universities should closely connect, strengthen cooperation, and provide strong support for the better development of the Trine Engineering Institute..
特莱恩工学院执行院长帅春江、各专业负责人和美方学术执行主任就优化融合、深入合作等方面进行了充分交流和深入探讨，并就下一次联管会召开时间与议程达成共识。学院直属党支部书记张晓霞与特莱恩大学详细讨论了特莱恩工学院2023级新生中美联合迎新方案。
Shuai Chunjiang, Executive Dean of the Trine Engineering Institute, Heads of various majors, and the Executive Director of the American academic community conducted full exchanges and in-depth discussions on further optimizing integration and deepening cooperation among the three majors, and reached a consensus on the time and agenda for the next joint management meeting. Moreover, Zhang Xiaoxia,Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee discussed in detail the Sino US joint welcome plan for the 2023 freshmen of the Trine Engineering Institute.
同时，正值我校建校65周年校庆之际，王磊校长诚挚邀请美国特莱恩大学校长John Shannon一行来校交流互访。
At the same time, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of our university's establishment, President Wang Lei sincerely invited John Shannon, President of Trine University in the United States, and his delegation to come to the school for exchange and visits.
此次会议是陕西理工大学与美国特莱恩大学合作办学新学年第一次工作研讨会议。过去的一年，特莱恩工学院总体发展迅速，办学成效显著。后期，两校将在人才培养、师资建设、科学研究和合作交流方面共同努力，不断推进学校中外合作办学高质量发展。
This meeting is the first work seminar for the new academic year of cooperation between Shaanxi University of Technology and Trine University . In the past year, the overall development of the Trine Engineering Institute has been stable and orderly, with significant educational achievements. In the later stages, the two universities will make joint efforts in talent cultivation, faculty construction, scientific research, and cooperative exchanges, continuously promoting the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
史宇翔同学在美期间专门拜会了特莱恩大学校长John Shannon教授，他向Shannon教授详细汇报了在特莱恩工学院一年来的学习、生活情况，并表达了后期计划到美国特莱恩大学留学的深深期望。
During his stay in the United States, Shi Yuxiang specifically met with Professor John Shannon, the President of Trine University. He gave a detailed report to Professor Shannon on his one-year study experience and life at the Trine Engineering Institute and expressed his deep desire to study abroad at Trine University in the United States.
