怀瑾握瑜，岁聿云暮。为深入落实立德树人根本任务，加强特莱恩工学院学风建设，培养具有国际化视野、专业功底扎实、学风优良的工程专业技术人才，特莱恩工学院于2024年1月4日下午在南校区大礼堂召开特莱恩工学院2023年度学风建设总结暨表彰大会。
As we approach the end of the lunar year, it is crucial to reflect upon the accomplishments of Trine Engineering Institute throughout the past year. Trine Engineering Institute is dedicated to nurturing skilled technical professionals and engineers with a global outlook, profound expertise, and academic integrity. Following its mission to advance moral education, talent development, and the creation of a positive and vibrant educational environment, the Institute hosted the 2023 Academic Atmosphere Fostering Wrap-up & Commendation Conference in the auditorium of the south campus on the afternoon of January 4th, 2024.
学校党委书记赵晓林、校长王磊应邀出席。教务处、国际处、学工部、校团委负责人和数计学院、电气学院、机械学院党政领导及特莱恩工学院全体师生共同参加。会议由特莱恩工学院执行院长帅春江主持。
Attendees included Zhao Xiaolin, Secretary of the University Party Committee; Wang Lei, President of the University; heads of the Academic Affairs Office, the International Office, the Student Affairs Department, and the Youth League Committee; the Party and administrative leaders of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Mechanical Engineering, and all the teachers and students of Trine Engineering Institute. Shuai Chunjiang, Executive Dean of Trine Engineering Institute, served as the moderator.
大会在庄严的国歌声中拉开帷幕。校党委副书记、校长、特莱恩工学院院长王磊致辞。他对学校、学院党政领导和专业教师的辛勤付出表示衷心的感谢，向学院涌现的先进集体和优秀个人表示热烈的祝贺。他鼓励特莱恩工学院全体学生既要向优秀学生学习，见贤思齐，又要正视自身不足和缺陷，迎头赶上，进一步融入多元化的社会环境，追求真正的内心成长，成就个人价值。
The conference started with the solemn Chinese national anthem. Following it, Wang Lei, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, President of Shaanxi University of Technology and Dean of Trine Engineering Institute, delivered a speech. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the hard work of the Party and administrative leaders and all the faculty members over the year and extended warm congratulations to the outstanding collectives and individuals. In addition to encouraging students to learn from excellent peers, he heartened each young person to face their disadvantages and try harder to adapt to this diversified society. They should do their best to pursue dreams and fulfil personal values.

At the conference, Zhao Xiaolin, Wang Lei and representative leaders and teachers awarded honorary certificates to collectives and students who had done remarkable work in promoting the academic atmosphere of Trine Engineering Institute.
获奖学生代表宋志豪、中方教师代表李彦信、外方教师代表Renata作了热情洋溢的讲话，有成功经验的分享，有对美好未来的展望。学院辅导员梅晶老师带领全体特莱恩学子就学风建设、诚信考试进行宣誓。
Award-winning student representative Song Zhihao, Chinese teacher representative Li Yanxin and foreign teacher representative Renata made speeches, sharing their successful experience and expectations for a brighter future. The student counselor Mei Jing led all the students to take an oath to promote a positive learning environment and academic integrity.
校党委书记赵晓林作总结讲话。他对特莱恩工学院获奖的先进集体和优秀个人表示祝贺，对特莱恩工学院的建设提出三点意见：一是要坚持改革创新，不断提升人才培养质量。要以培养具有国际化背景的专业工程技术人才为目标，加强学生语言能力，推进中美课程互融互通，调动学生学习积极性、主动性。二是要改善办学设施，强化办学保障。学校各部门要加强特莱恩工学院建设，为学生学习、生活提供便利条件；要进一步建设高水平在线学习平台，为学生与特莱恩大学学生同步学习做好坚强保障。三是希望同学们要志存高远、脚踏实地，树立正确的理想信念，扛起时代大旗，朝着目标不断奋进。勇于创新，发挥自身个性、求知、活力等优势，用多角度看待事物，在已知中探索未知，有直面挑战的信心和沉着坚定的信念是青年学生实现自我发展的基本遵循。
Zhao Xiaolin, Secretary of the University Party Committee, made a concluding speech. In addition to congratulating the prizewinners, Secretary Zhao put forward three suggestions for constructing the Trine Engineering Institute. First, Trine Engineering Institute shall persist in reform and innovation and constantly improve the quality of talent training. It shall be dedicated to cultivating professional engineering and technical personnel with international educational backgrounds. Efforts shall be made to reinforce students’ language ability, promote the integration of Chinese and American courses, and motivate students to learn. Second, Trine Engineering Institute shall improve school facilities. All departments shall double their effort to build Trine Engineering Institute and facilitate students’ campus life there. Also, a high-level online learning platform shall be provided for domestic students to learn simultaneously with their peers at Trine University. Third, students of Trine Engineering Institute should aim high but work in a down-to-earth manner. The young generation is supposed to establish correct values, shoulder national missions and forge ahead toward the goal. They should be bold in innovating, thinking flexibly, and giving full play to their personality, knowledge, and vitality to explore the unknown world. Confidence to face challenges and firm faith are necessary for young students’ self-development.

At the end of the 2023 Academic Atmosphere Fostering Wrap-up & Commendation Conference of Trine Engineering Institute, award-winning students, leaders and teachers took group photos.
“青年兴则国兴，青年强则国强”，本次会议的召开，明确了特莱恩工学院新发展阶段人才培养的新理念、新目标、新思路、新举措，推动了特莱恩工学院的优良学风建设与日常的教育教学、学生管理的进一步融合，为培养具有国际化背景的工程专业技术人才理清了思路、聚焦了共识，提供了指引和遵循。学院将以此活动为契机，全面推进中外合作办学建设做出新的更大贡献。
“When young people thrive, a country prospers; when young people are strong, a country is strong”. This conference clarified the new concepts, goals, ideas and measures for talent training in the new development stage of Trine Engineering Institute. Specifically, the conference expedited the integration of fostering a fine academic atmosphere with daily education and student management. A consensus was reached on the right path to training engineering professionals with international educational backgrounds, providing guidelines for future actions. Looking ahead, the Institute will do much more to promote the all-round development of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
