美国特莱恩大学Jenson教授到特莱恩工学院教学交流

Professor Jenson of Trine University in America Invited to Exchange 

Teaching in Trine Engineering Institute

为加强中美两校教师间经验交流,探讨中美两校教育模式、教育理念,更好促进美方优质教学资源引进、融合,2024年3月31日,美国特莱恩大学全球事务部主任、计算机专业教师Jenson教授应邀到特莱恩工学院进行教育教学交流。

To improve the teaching experience exchange and explore the educational pattern and educational idea between Trine University in America and Shaanxi University of Technology in China to promote the introduction and integration of the excellent teaching resources of Trine University , Professor Jenson, the head of global affairs of Trine University , was invited to launch education and teaching exchange on March 31st,2024.

上午9:00,Jenson教授为机械学院、电气学院、数计学院和特莱恩工学院近40位教师开展一节题为《Variables & Pseudocode》的Demo课。课堂上Jenson教授通过实物、故事导入课程主要内容,以“学生为中心”循序渐进,不断引导在场学生积极参与课堂教学,鼓励学生踊跃发言。课后,中方教师就中美双方教学理念和教学模式等与Jenson教授深入交流。

At 9 o’clock in the moring, Professor Jenson demonstrated the class named《Variables & Pseudocode》for approximately forty teachers in Mechanics Institute, Electrical Engineering Lnstitute, Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science and Trin Engineering Institute in Shaanxi University of Technology. In class, Jenson led entity and the story to teach the main content by student-centered approach to constantly guide students to actively take part in the class teaching and take presentation. After class, the teachers of Shaanxi University of Technology exchanged with Jenson on the two parties’ teaching idea and teaching pattern.

   

10点,Jenson教授到我院考察了中美备课室、学科交叉融合实验室等设施和环境,并在会议室进行座谈交流。国际处副处长吴婕,特莱恩工学院行政人员参与座谈会。首先,执行院长帅春江对Jenson教授应邀来我院教学交流表示欢迎,同时介绍了学院办学以来的基本情况、师资队伍建设、课程运行、学生管理、教学取得的成绩,并就学生英语能力提升、教师互访等问题与Jenson教授进行详细交流与商榷。直属党支部书记朱智鸿就学生到特莱恩大学交换、交流,学籍注册流程等问题进行交流。国际处副处长吴婕就两方高校在学生互派互访,英语语言要求等问题与参会人员详细沟通。

At 10 o’clock in the moring, Professor Jenson visited the facility and environment including Chinese and American class preparation room and Interdisciplinary fusion laboratory, and then held the symposium in meeting room, which Wu Jie, the vice director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, and all of the administrators in Trine Engineering Institute attend. Shuai Chunjiang, the executive dean firstly welcomed Professor Jenson to exchange teaching, then introduced the basic information, the teaching staff construction, curriculum operation, student management and teaching achievement, and exchange and discuss in detail with Jenson on the improvement of students’ ability and teachers’ exchange visit.The Communist Party of Trine Engineering Institute branch secretary Zhu Zhihong communicated with Jenson on students’ exchange and visit to Trine University and Student registration process. Wu Jie communicated with Jenson on reciprocal exchange and visit, and English level requirement in detail.

下午2:30,Jenson在学校大礼堂和特莱恩工学院全体学生、电气、数计和机械三个学院部分学生一道深入交流。首先,他现场演示美国特莱恩大学教学的“MyPortal”和“Moodle”两大平台使用,介绍了美方课程授课的方式和教学要求。其次,他从个人求学经历说起,鼓励与会学子瞄准目标,将英语学习的压力转变为动力,分享了求学中“延迟享受”的心得。此外,他还热情与现场学生互动交流,从语言学习能力、特莱恩大学日常、外方教学安排、课程标准体系及赴美深造的相关准备等方面为学生们释疑解惑。最后执行院长帅春江给学生们通报了学院近期的安排,并希望全体学生以此为契机,树立目标、制定计划,一步一个脚印,走出属于自己的大学四年,不负初心、不负韶华。

At half of two in the afternoon, Professor Jenson deeply communicated with all students of Trine Engineering Institute and some students of Mechanics Institute, Electrical Engineering Lnstitute, Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science. Firstly, Professor Jenson demonstrated the operation of two teaching platform named MyPortal and Moodle of Trin University, and introduced the teaching requirement and method of the American curriculum. Secondly, he encouraged students to aim at the goal and converted the English learning pressure to power by starting his education experience, then share the experience of postponing enjoyment. In addition, he cleared up confusion on such aspects including the daily life , teaching arrangement and curriculem standard system of Trine University, language learning ability, and relevant preparations for further study in America. At last, Shuai Chunjiang notified recent arragement of Trine Engineering Institute, and hopes that students grasp this opportunity to set a goal and make plan, then steadily live four years of undergraduate, which live up to the original dream and the most precious youth.

教师共谋育人举措,师生同心共话未来。本次特莱恩大学教师来我院开展的教育教学交流活动,既激发了中外教师联合探索融合课程实施的积极性,也增进了师生默契,凝聚起学子善于追梦,敢于追梦的意志品质,很好地推动我院各项教学工作的顺利开展。

Unite to contrive the education measurement and look forward to the future with one heart by all teachers and students. This activity stimulates the positivity of uniting to explore fusion curriculum by Chinese and foreign teachers, promote the tacit understanding between teachers and students, and gather the students’will to be good at chasing dream and dare to dream, which promote the institute teaching successfully.
