On June 19, 2024, an exchange seminar between Prof. Jenson and his team from Trine University and the faculty of Trine Engineering Institute, Shaanxi University of Technology witnessed a great success in Conference Room 1201, 12/F, Bosi Building. Prof. Jenson, Prof. Ricardo McCoy and Tina Cooper from Trine University and all members of Trine Engineering Institute attended this seminar, which was presided over by Prof. Shuai Chunjiang, the Executive Dean.
Starting the seminar, Zhu Zhihong, Secretary of the Party Branch directly under Trine Engineering Institute, addressed to warmly welcome the arrival of the teachers and their team from Trine University and express his expectations and best wishes for the educational and teaching activities in the Institute.
First of all, Shuai Chunjiang extended his heartfelt thanks for his visit to Trine University last year, which was well arranged and received by Trine University. He introduced the development history, teaching operation, teaching reform achievements and students' achievements in competitions of Trine Engineering Institute, which drew a comprehensive and detailed picture of the Institute for American teachers. In conclusion, he hoped to use this visit by the professors from Trine University to further the cooperation between the two schools in all aspects for the better quality and efficiency in the development of the Institute.
After that, Zhang Zhongpeng, Assistant to the Dean, gave a detailed briefing to the participants on the arrangements of the American teachers for as-scheduled educational and teaching exchange activities of both sides during the exchange.
Prof. Jenson Jiang, Dr. Ricardo McCoy and Dr. Tina Cooper respectively extended their heartfelt thanks to the Chinese side for their meticulous and thoughtful reception and arrangements, and outlined the development, professional construction, and the advantages of Trine University. They hoped to present the educational concepts, teaching modes and cross-cultural exchanges of both sides to the teachers and students of the Institute to discuss and learn from each other through this seminar.
The lecture and academic and teaching exchanges by professors of Trine University marked another solid step forward in the deep cooperation between our two schools on the track for internationalized education. That would mean a better-established friendship and cultural integration between the schools and a good foundation for cultivating high-quality engineering and technical talents with international vision.
Going forward, the two schools will seek closer cooperation and exchanges in faculty visits and study abroad, faculty academic upgrade training, and students' long and short-term exchange and study at Trine University.
In the wake of the seminar, the participants visited the Institute together, which further deepened the American teachers' understanding of the Institute.
