Trine Engineering Institute, Shaanxi University of Technology Visits the Provincial-level Key Laboratory of Xi’an International Studies University for Exchanges
7月31日，特莱恩工学院执行院长帅春江带队一行4人到西安外国语大学人工智能与语言认知神经科学实验室（智语实验室）参观交流，围绕学科建设、专业发展、实验建设和实践实训等方面进行交流与探讨。智语实验室主任燕浩教授和部分教师、研究生参加座谈交流会。
On July 31, Shuai Chunjiang, executive dean of Trine Engineering Institute, led a group of four people to visit the Artificial Intelligence and Linguistic Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory (the Lab) of Xi'an International Studies University (XISU) for exchanges and discussion, which focused on the efforts in disciplines, professional development, experiment, and practical training and more. Prof. Yan Hao, director of the Lab, and some teachers and graduate students attended the seminar.
首先，燕浩教授对陕西理工大学特莱恩工学院一行表示欢迎，并向来访人员详细介绍了智语实验室的发展理念、战略规划、前期规划方案实施过程等实验室建设细节。
To start the seminar, Prof. Yan Hao welcomed the delegation from Trine Engineering Institute, Shaanxi University of Technology and introduced to the visitors in detail the development philosophy, strategic planning, pre-planning program implementation process of the Lab and other laboratory construction details.
其次，帅春江教授介绍了特莱恩工学院两年来的发展，对实验室建设、人才培养、专业建设等方面发展规划进行说明，并对智语实验室的研究方向和建设成果表示赞赏和认同。
After that, Prof. Shuai Chunjiang introduced the development of Trine Engineering Institute over the past two years and the development plan for lab construction, talent training, and professional construction and expressed his appreciation and recognition of the research direction and construction fruits of the Lab.
接着，双方座谈期间，与会老师就语言学研究与脑认知科学和人工智能等先进技术的深度结合方式进行了深入交流，着重对新工科和新文科实验室建设与发展、学科融合的师资团队建设、交叉学科的专业课程设置等进行探讨交流。双方一致认为，今后将在语言交流和人工智能研究领域开展合作，共同研发智能康养机器人，进行项目合作，以及教师访学和学生实践实习等方面达成初步合作意向。
During the seminar, the participating teachers conducted in-depth exchanges on how to deeply combine linguistic research with advanced technologies such as brain cognitive science and artificial intelligence, which focused on the construction and development of laboratories for new engineering and new liberal arts, the construction of faculty teams for disciplinary integration, and the setting of specialized curricula for cross-disciplinary disciplines. The two sides agreed to cooperate in future language communication and artificial intelligence research and seek cooperation in the project on joint R&D of intelligent health care robots and reached preliminary cooperation intentions on teacher visits and student practice and internship.
最后，双方一起参观了各类实验仪器和正在开展的研究工作和主要技术手段，以及近年来的科研成果。
To conclude the exchanges, the two sides visited various experimental instruments and ongoing research and its main technical means as well as scientific achievements made over recent years.
人工智能与语言认知神经科学重点实验室为西安外国语大学重要的学术科研机构，也是陕西省重点实验室。实验室以“探索语言奥秘、挖掘语言天赋、保护语言能力、助力语言智能”为发展思路，以实现语言类脑智能系统为远景目标的跨学科研究平台。
The Lab is the major academic and research institution of XISU and a key lab in Shaanxi province. Committed to the development philosophy of “exploring the mystery of language, tapping the talent of language, protecting the ability of language, and empowering the intelligence of language", the Lab will serve as an interdisciplinary research platform with the vision of making possible a brain-like language intelligent system.
