Trine Engineering Institute Successfully Held the Second English Speech Contest
为彰显具有中国特色的国际化办学风采，增强学生的文化自信，激发学生学习英语的热情，学院通过“以赛促思、以赛促学、以赛促践”，引导学生厚植家国情怀，拓展国际视野，传承中华文脉，铸就文化自信。9月20日起，学院组织第二届英语演讲大赛，经过初赛激烈角逐，共计11名选手入围演讲赛决赛。
To showcase the international educational style with Chinese characteristics, enhance students' cultural confidence, and stimulate their enthusiasm for learning English, Trine Engineering Institute has been guiding students to deeply cultivate a sense of national pride, expand their international vision, inherit the Chinese cultural lineage, and build cultural confidence through "promoting thinking, learning and practice".
Trine Engineering Institute organized the second English speech contest from September 20th. After the preliminary fierce competition, a total of 11 contestants entered the final of the speech contest.
10月18日晚，在9B101顺利举办以“传承中华文脉，铸就文化自信”为主题的英语演讲大赛决赛。决赛现场，学院执行院长帅春江、院长助理张仲鹏、学生工作办公室相关负责人及70余名学生观摩了此次比赛。决赛评委由外籍教师Mary、Renata和英语课程组教师担任。
On the evening of October 18th, the final English speech contest with the theme of "Inheriting the Chinese Culture and forging cultural confidence" was successfully held in 9B101. At the final, Shuai Chunjiang, the Executive Dean of Trine Engineering Institute，Zhang Zhongpeng, Assistant to the Dean，relevant personnel from the student affairs office, and over 70 students attended the competition. The judges are composed of foreign teachers Mary, Renata, and teachers from the English course team.
首先，帅春江致辞，他希望学生们能用英语搭建起沟通的桥梁，用演讲传递思想的火花；以开放的心态和积极的态度，去迎接这次比赛以及大学生活将遇到的各种挑战。鼓励所有选手都能发挥出最佳水平，展现出最好的自己。
Firstly, Shuai Chunjiang delivered a speech, expressing his hope that students could use English to build a bridge for communication and convey the sparks of thought through speeches. He encouraged students to maintain an open mind and a positive attitude to face the challenges of this contest and the various challenges they will encounter in university life. He encouraged all contestants to perform at their best and show the best of themselves.
其次，11位选手一一闪亮登场，用激情洋溢的英语演讲展示了中华青年的风采，诠释了用英语讲好中国故事的真谛。
Secondly, the 11 contestants successively took the stage, showcasing the demeanor of Chinese youth with their passionate English speeches and interpreting the true meaning of telling China's stories well in English.
赛后，外籍教师Mary和Renata分别对本次比赛进行了精彩的点评，对参赛选手们在比赛中的精彩表现给予了肯定。同时指出了选手们在演讲过程中的不足之处以及未来努力的方向。
At the end of the contest, foreign teachers Mary and Renata provided wonderful comments on the event, affirming the contestants' excellent performances during the competition. They also pointed out the contestants' shortcomings during their speeches and directions for future improvement.
经过层层激烈角逐，最后石城安同学获得一等奖；李怡菲和付婧怡同学获得二等奖；傅阳浩、王俊礼和杜晟瑞同学获得三等奖；赵曼君、王家乐、张博、庞烁琪、雷子乐同学获得优胜奖。此外，傅阳浩和王家乐同学分别获得“最佳风采奖”和“最具潜力奖”。根据演讲排名结果，石城安、李怡菲和付婧怡同学将被推荐参加陕西省教育厅主办的陕西省中外合作办学学生外语演讲比赛。
After fierce competition at all levels, Shi Cheng'an won the first prize; Li Yifei and Fu Jingyi won the second prize; Fu Yanghao, Wang Junli, and Du Shengrui won the third prize; Zhao Manjun, Wang Jiale, Zhang Bo, Pang Shuoqi, and Lei Zile won the merit awards. Additionally, Fu Yanghao and Wang Jiale won the "Best Demeanor Award" and the "Most Potential Award," respectively. According to the results of the speech contest rankings, Shi Cheng'an, Li Yifei, and Fu Jingyi are recommended to participate in the Foreign Language Speech Contest for Sino-foreign Cooperative Education sponsored by Shaanxi Provincial Education Department.
本次演讲比赛不仅为学生提供了展示英语风采的舞台，更激发了学生对青年学子对传统文化传承创新和青年使命的思考。
This speech contest not only provided a stage for students to showcase their English talents but also inspired students to think about the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture and the mission of youth.
