Student from Trine Engineering Institute Shone in Shaanxi Provincial Foreign Language Speech Contest for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Students

2024年12月10日上午，由陕西省教育厅主办，陕西省高等教育学会中外合作办学分会、西北大学共同承办的“传承中华文脉、铸就文化自信”陕西省中外合作办学学生外语演讲比赛决赛暨颁奖仪式在西北大学长安校区隆重举行。来自全省15个中外合作办学机构（项目）的20位优秀学子参加决赛。省委教育工委、省教育厅二级巡视员高巍，教育厅有关领导、各相关高校领导共同出席。

On the morning of December 10th, 2024, the final and award ceremony of the "Inheriting Chinese Culture, Forging Cultural Confidence" Shaanxi Province Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Student Foreign Language Speech Contest was held at the Chang'an campus of Northwest University. The event was hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and co-organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Higher Education Society for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education and Northwest University. Twenty outstanding students from 15 Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions (projects) in Shaanxi Province participated in this final competition. Gao Wei, the second-level inspector from the Provincial Committee of Education and the Provincial Department of Education attended the event along with  leaders from the education department and related universities.

比赛分为两轮进行，有备演讲和即兴演讲与问答。在决赛现场，参赛选手围绕比赛主题，就文化自信、文明交流互鉴、传统文化传承创新、文化遗产阐释与传播、一带一路、青年使命、国际胜任力等议题展开了精彩的有备演讲和即兴演讲。经过专家评委现场记名独立打分，最终评出特等奖1名、一等奖3名、二等奖6名、三等奖10名。我校特莱恩工学院网络工程专业23级学生石城安荣获二等奖。

The contest consisted of two rounds: prepared speeches and impromptu speeches with Q&A sessions. At the final, contestants delivered their prepared speeches and impromptu speeches on topics such as cultural confidence, cultural exchange and mutual learning, the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture, the interpretation and dissemination of cultural heritage, the Belt and Road Initiative, the mission of youth and international competence. After scoring by expert judges, the final prizes were awarded: one Grand Prize, three First Prizes, six Second Prizes, and ten Third Prizes. Shi Cheng'an, a student from Trine Engineering Institute of Shaanxi University of Technology, won the Second Prize.

高巍在致辞中强调，本次大赛不仅是参赛选手个人外语水平和文化素养的集中展示，更是全省高校中外合作办学人才培养工作显著成效的生动体现。他鼓励学生要磨砺语言能力、传承中华文化，为实现中国梦贡献青春力量。

Gao Wei emphasized in his speech that this competition is not only a concentrated display of the participants' individual foreign language skills and cultural knowledge, but also a vivid reflection of the significant achievements in cultivating talents through international cooperation in higher education in the province. He encouraged the students to improve their language skills, inherit Chinese culture and contribute youthful vigour to the realization of the Chinese Dream.

陕西理工大学特莱恩工学院一直致力于培养兼具国际视野和家国情怀的工程技术人才，鼓励学生参与各类学术和文化交流活动，以提升学生的综合素质和国际竞争力。我校在本次大赛中获得的优异成绩，不仅是对我校参赛同学英语水平和文化素养的肯定，同时也是对我校中外合作办学英语语言教学成果的一次检验。特莱恩工学院将以此为契机，继续深化教学改革，加强与国际教育机构的交流合作，为学生提供更多展示自我、锻炼能力的平台。
