Trine Engineering Institute Successfully Hosted Spring Overseas Study Lecture: Illuminating the Path to Global Academic Excellence
4月17日下午，特莱恩工学院在9A101举办春季出国留学专题讲座，讲座由特莱恩工学院院长助理吴静主持，由吴静、24级辅导员冉夏阳和校外留学导师田文静联合讲授。特莱恩工学院22级和23级近100名学子踊跃参加，特莱恩工学院执行院长帅春江出席本次讲座。
On the afternoon of April 17th, Trine Engineering Institute held Spring Overseas Study Lecture in Room 9A101, guiding students toward international academic opportunities. Hosted by Dean Assistant Wu Jing, the event featured insights from Wu Jing, 24th-grade counselor Ran Xiayang, and external study abroad consultant Tian Wenjing. Nearly 100 students from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts attended, with Executive Dean Shuai Chunjiang presiding over the lecture.
讲座伊始，院长助理吴静凭借十余年全球 500 强跨国公司工作经验，以及自身考研、出国的丰富阅历，对当下考研与留学现状、就业形势展开深度剖析。她特别指出，中外合作办学的学子在留学申请中具备独特优势，精准把握这一 “加分项”，将在激烈的竞争中脱颖而出。她聚焦英国、美国、加拿大、澳大利亚等主流留学国家，从教育体制差异、硕士学制类型，申请难易程度、到申请材料清单、留学费用明细、申请时间线规划和留学学习生活情况等进行详细介绍，并提出了直申硕士或预科+硕士的多元升学方案，帮助同学们全面掌握留学全貌。
Drawing on her decade of experience at Fortune 500 multinational corporations and her personal journey through postgraduate entrance exams and overseas study, Dean Assistant Wu Jing delivered a comprehensive analysis of current trends in domestic graduate admissions and global education. She highlighted the unique advantages of students from Sino-foreign cooperative programs in overseas applications, emphasizing how leveraging these "competitive edges" can help them stand out in a crowded field. Wu Jing provided a detailed breakdown of key study destinations—the UK, U.S., Canada, and Australia—covering differences in educational systems, types of master’s programs, application requirements, cost structures, timelines, and student life. She also proposed flexible pathways, including direct master’s admissions and master diploma plus master’s combinations, equipping students with a 360-degree perspective on international education.
24级辅导员冉夏阳为同学们绘制了一幅详尽的大学留学规划蓝图。她指出：大学时光是积累的黄金期，提升 GPA、投身科研项目、撰写学术论文、参与实习实践与学科竞赛，每一项都是提升个人竞争力的 “利器”。尤其是大二、大三阶段，更是语言考试（雅思、托福）冲刺、选校方案打磨、文书撰写攻坚的关键期。冉老师用自己的故事鼓励同学们：“留学规划不是一蹴而就，而是一场厚积薄发的长跑，每一步踏实的积累，都将成为叩响理想学府大门的钥匙。” 她的讲解为有留学意向的同学指明了行动方向。
24th-grade academic counselor Ran Xiayang mapped out a strategic blueprint for overseas university preparation. Stressing the importance of foundational years, she underscored critical tasks such as GPA optimization, research project involvement, academic paper writing, internships, and competition participation. "The sophomore and junior years are pivotal for language exam breakthroughs (IELTS/TOEFL), school selection, and personal statement refinement," Ran noted. Sharing her own journey, she inspired students: "Studying abroad is not an overnight achievement but a marathon of persistent effort. Every step you take now becomes the key to unlocking your dream university."
最后，校外导师田文静从选校策略、材料准备等核心环节切入，为同学们送上 留学“实战锦囊”。她针对英、澳、美、加及港澳地区，筛选推荐多所优质院校，并着重强调提升绩点、定制个性化文书、紧盯申请关键节点等重要事项，尤其针对2026年秋季入学进行了时间规划。田老师的分享既有宏观的战略指导，又有细致入微的操作技巧，为同学们的留学规划注入一剂 “强心针”。
External consultant Tian Wenjing concluded the lecture with actionable strategies for application success. She curated a list of top universities in the UK, Australia, the U.S., Canada, and Hong Kong/Macau, while emphasizing GPA enhancement, personalized essay crafting, and strict adherence to application deadlines. Her guidance blended macro-level strategic advice with micro-level operational tactics, offering students a confidence boost for their planning process.
