Trine Engineering Institute Hosts Symposium on "Innovating Through Integration, Educating Through Transformation"

       为深入推进中外合作办学高质量发展,6月5日下午,特莱恩工学院在博思楼1201会议室召开2024-2025学年第二学期师生座谈会。学院直属党支部书记朱智鸿、执行院长帅春江、院长助理张仲鹏、吴静,教学督导组主任张政武、督导李俊丽,全体行政人员、教师代表及学生代表参会。会议以“在融合中创新,于变革中育人——推动中外合作办学高质量发展”为主题,分上下两场进行。

To advance the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education, the Trine Engineering Institute held a faculty-student symposium on June 5 in Room 1201 of the Boshi Building. Attended by institute leaders including Party Secretary Zhu Zhihong, Executive Dean Shuai Chunjiang, Assistant Deans Zhang Zhongpeng and Wu Jing, Teaching Supervision Director Zhang Zhengwu, Supervisor Li Junli, administrative staff, and representatives of teachers and students, the symposium centered on the theme "Innovating Through Integration, Educating Through Transformation: Driving High-Quality Development in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education" and was conducted in two sessions.

Teaching Supervision & Faculty Dialogue

        院长助理张仲鹏主持督导教师座谈会。执行院长帅春江系统介绍了学院办学宗旨、发展现状及融合创新教育教学理念,强调以跨文化融合赋能人才培养新范式。教学督导组主任张政武就本学期教学检查作专题反馈,涵盖教学法改革、课堂纪律管理、教学手段现代化、学风建设长效机制、外聘教师管理及课程档案整改情况,并提出构建校院联合督导机制的规范化建议。张仲鹏助理汇报了本学期教学运行、管理制度建设及中外合作办学进展,重点解读教学工作量核算与评价机制,鼓励教师深化教育改革,推动中美教育理念在课程设计与实施中的创新融合。与会教师围绕课程衔接、课堂管理、教学资源融合、学院发展规划等议题展开深度研讨。

Assistant Dean Zhang Zhongpeng chaired the first session. Executive Dean Shuai Chunjiang elaborated on the institute's mission, current progress, and the "Integrated Innovation" educational philosophy, highlighting cross-cultural integration as a catalyst for new talent development paradigms. Director Zhang Zhengwu presented a comprehensive review of teaching inspections, addressing pedagogical reform, classroom discipline, modernized teaching methods, the cultivation of a long-term study ethos, adjunct faculty management, and the refinement of course documentation. He proposed establishing a standardized "University-School Joint Supervision Mechanism." Assistant Dean Zhang Zhongpeng reported on academic operations, management system development, and achievements in Sino-foreign cooperative education, detailing the teaching workload assessment and evaluation frameworks. He encouraged faculty to pioneer educational reforms that integrate Chinese and American pedagogical approaches. Teachers engaged in in-depth discussions on curriculum articulation, classroom management, resource integration, and institutional planning.

Faculty-Student Collaborative Education Forum

        院长助理吴静主持教师学生座谈会。吴静助理基于本学期教学反馈系统汇报学生学习情况,聚焦学业发展需求与挑战。学生代表就小班教学效果、课程序列优化、授课模式创新等建言献策。

Assistant Dean Wu Jing moderated the second session. She presented an analysis of student learning outcomes based on semester feedback, addressing academic needs and challenges. Student representatives proposed enhancements for small-class teaching, curriculum sequencing, and instructional innovation.  

        朱智鸿书记作总结发言,充分肯定座谈会在深入贯彻中央八项规定精神学习教育背景下的实践意义,指出会议密切了师生纽带,践行了教学相长,夯实了办学初心,并强调需以师生反馈为驱动力,持续创新教育教学模式,强化学风教风协同建设,赋能学院国际化育人品牌高质量发展。

Secretary Zhu Zhihong concluded by affirming the symposium’s alignment with the Central Eight-Point Directive principles, noting that it "strengthened faculty-student bonds, practiced mutual pedagogical growth, and reaffirmed our educational mission." He emphasized leveraging feedback to innovate teaching models, synergize study ethos with teaching ethos, and advance the institute’s global education brand.
