Trine Engineering Institute Hosted Study Abroad Advisory Session to Empower Students for Overseas Graduate Studies
为深化国际化人才培养，切实服务学生海外深造需求，特莱恩工学院于10月24日在学院会议室博思楼1201成功举办了“国际文化交流月系列活动之留学辅导会”。本次活动吸引了学院内有志于出国深造的各年级学子积极参与，气氛热烈。
In a concerted effort to deepen the cultivation of globally competent talent and address students' practical needs for overseas education, Trine Engineering Institute held a "Study Abroad Advisory Session" as part of its International Cultural Exchange Month series on October 24th. The event took place in the institute's conference room (Bosi Building, Room 1201) and attracted enthusiastic participation from students across different year groups who aspire to pursue further studies abroad.
辅导会由院长助理吴静老师主持。吴静老师首先立足学院国际化发展战略的整体框架，阐述了学院对学生海外留学工作的重视与支持。她随后聚焦留学申请的核心环节，为在场学生进行了系统而深入的指导。内容涵盖了如何精心准备和打磨个人陈述、简历、推荐信等关键申请材料，并详细梳理了校内成绩单、在读证明等材料的具体办理流程与注意事项。
The session was chaired by Ms. Wu Jing, dean assistant of the institute. Beginning with an overview of the institute's internationalization strategy, Ms. Wu emphasized the institute's commitment to supporting students in their overseas academic endeavors. She then provided systematic and in-depth guidance on core components of the application process, covering how to carefully prepare and refine key materials such as personal statements, resumes, and recommendation letters. She also detailed the procedures and important considerations for obtaining official documents like academic transcripts and proof of enrollment.
吴静通过前期调研与现场交流，力求了解每位同学当前的申请进度与个性化准备难点。她特别针对学业成绩这一留学申请的基石，反复强调了绩点与均分的重要性，督促同学们务必抓紧在校的每一分每一秒，刻苦学习，全力提升学术成绩，为申请顶尖名校夯实基础。
Notably, Ms. Wu conducted prior research and engaging in on-site dialogue to understand each student’s current application progress and individual challenges. She placed special emphasis on the foundational role of academic performance in graduate admissions, repeatedly stressing the importance of GPA and average scores. Ms. Wu urged students to make the most of their time on campus, study diligently, and strive to improve both their academic and IELTS scores to build a strong foundation for applications to top-tier universities.
随后，学院特邀的资深留学导师为同学们带来了更具针对性的辅导。导师围绕雅思/托福等语言考试的高效备考策略、留学申请的全周期时间规划、如何结合自身专业与职业发展进行科学择校，以及申请过程中各个关键时间节点把控等核心议题，进行了条分缕析的讲解。在互动答疑环节，导师更是耐心细致地对学生们提出的各类具体问题一一作了解答，解决了同学们的诸多困惑。
Following this, an experienced overseas education consultant, specially invited by the institute provided more targeted guidance. The consultant gave a clear and structured explanation of key topics, including effective preparation strategies for language proficiency tests such as IELTS/TOEFL, a comprehensive timeline for the application process, how to select universities based on one’s academic interests and career goals, and critical deadlines at each stage. During the interactive Q&A segment, the consultant patiently addressed a wide range of specific questions from the students, resolving many of their doubts.
辅导会最后，吴静老师再次进行总结强调。她呼吁全体同学必须树立紧迫意识，一方面要“抢时间、抓分数”，全力冲刺语言考试并提升学业成绩；另一方面要“早规划、明步骤”，提前布局申请策略，仔细研究目标院校与申请流程。她特别提醒，留学申请是一项系统工程，务必以严谨、审慎的态度对待每一份材料、每一个细节，力求完美。
At the conclusion of the counseling session, Ms. Wu once again summarized and emphasized key points. She urged all students to develop a sense of urgency, advising them to "race against time and strive for scores" by fully committing to language test preparation and improving academic performance, while also emphasizing the need to "plan early and clarify steps" by strategically mapping out their application approach and thoroughly researching target universities and procedures. She particularly highlighted that studying abroad applications constitute a systematic project, requiring a rigorous and meticulous approach to every document and detail to strive for perfection.
本次留学辅导会的成功举办，不仅为特莱恩工学院的学子们提供了清晰、实用的留学申请指引，有效扫清了他们在准备过程中的迷茫与障碍，更极大地激发了同学们的学习动力与申请信心。据悉，此次辅导会是特莱恩工学院“国际文化交流月”的重要组成部分，学院后续还将推出一系列精彩活动，持续营造浓厚的国际化氛围，全方位助力学子们实现世界名校的深造梦想。
The successful hosting of this study abroad counseling session not only provided students at Trine Engineering institute with clear and practical guidance, effectively eliminating confusion and obstacles in their preparation process but also significantly boosted their motivation and confidence in applying. It is reported that this session was an integral part of Trine Engineering Institute’s International Cultural Exchange Month," with the institute planning to launch a series of engaging follow-up activities to continuously foster a rich international atmosphere and comprehensively support students in achieving their dreams of advancing their studies at world-renowned universities.
