特莱恩工学院学子在2025年陕西省中外合作办学学生外语演讲比赛中再创佳绩
Students from Trine Engineering Institute Achieved Outstanding Results at the 2025 Shaanxi Provincial Foreign Language Speech Contest for Students in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Programs
11月25日，由中共陕西省委教育工委、陕西省教育厅主办，陕西省高等教育学会中外合作办学分会、西安工业大学共承办的2025年陕西省中外合作办学学生外语演讲比赛决赛在西安工业大学举行。本次大赛以“展现青春使命担当，共筑时代文化强音”为主题，旨在增强中外合作办学学生的文化自信与跨文化传播能力。比赛共吸引来自全省23所院校的63名学生参加初赛，最终24名选手晋级决赛。中共陕西省委教育工委副书记、一级巡视员王海波，陕西省教育厅对外合作与交流处（港澳台办公室）负责人、陕西省高等教育学会中外合作办学分会相关负责人、陕西省中外合作办学机构（项目）负责人出席本次比赛。
On November 25, the final of the 2025 Shaanxi Provincial Foreign Language Speech Contest for Students in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Programs was successfully held at Xi'an Technological University. The event was organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Education Working Committee of the CPC and the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education, and co-hosted by the Shaanxi Higher Education Association Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Branch and Xi'an Technological University. Under the theme "Demonstrating Youth’s Mission and Responsibility, Building a Strong Cultural Voice of the Times," the contest aimed to enhance students' cultural confidence and cross-cultural communication skills in Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. A total of 63 students from 23 institutions across the province participated in the preliminary rounds, with 24 contestants advancing to the final. Wang Haibo, Deputy Secretary of the Education Working Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and a first-level inspector, along with the head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office) of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education, relevant representatives from the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Branch of the Shaanxi Higher Education Association, and the heads of Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions (programs) in Shaanxi Province, attended the competition.
比赛分为两轮进行，有备演讲和即兴演讲与问答。在决赛现场，参赛选手围绕比赛主题，就文化自信、文明交流互鉴、传统文化传承创新、文化遗产阐释与传播、一带一路、青年使命、国际胜任力等议题展开了精彩的有备演讲和即兴演讲。经过专家评委现场记名独立打分，最终评出特等奖1名、一等奖3名、二等奖6名、三等奖10名。我院电气专业24级学生张熙然荣获二等奖，网络工程专业23级学生石城安荣获三等奖，特莱恩工学院荣获优秀组织奖。
The competition consisted of two rounds: prepared speech, impromptu speech and Q&A. During the finals, contestants delivered compelling speeches—both prepared and impromptu—centered around the competition theme, addressing topics such as cultural confidence, exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, the preservation and innovation of traditional culture, the interpretation and dissemination of cultural heritage, the Belt and Road Initiative, the mission of youth, and international competence. Through on-site independent scoring by the expert panel, the winners were determined, including one Grand Prize, three First Prizes, six Second Prizes, and ten Third Prizes. Zhang Xiran, a 2024-level Electrical Engineering major was awarded the Second Prize, while Shi Cheng'an, a 2023-level Network Engineering major, received the Third Prize. Additionally, the Trine Engineering Institute was honored with the Outstanding Organization Award.
在颁奖仪式上，中共陕西省委教育工委副书记、一级巡视员王海波致辞。王海波指出，本次大赛是陕西省教育系统深入学习贯彻党的二十大四中全会精神、服务教育强国与文化强国建设的重要举措，为中外合作办学学生提供了展示能力、交流互鉴的平台。他强调，陕西作为中华文化的重要发祥地和科教大省，始终坚持教育对外开放，紧抓“一带一路”建设机遇，将区位与文化优势转化为教育发展优势，持续推动中外合作办学提质增效，有力支撑了高校“双一流”建设和高素质国际化人才培养。他希望同学们拓展全球视野，以开放包容的胸襟和深入透彻的交流，在世界文明互鉴中当好增进理解、建立互信的桥梁和使者；要坚定文化自信，运用创新多元、易于国际理解的表达方式，讲好中国故事，在文明对话中彰显中华文化的独特魅力；要胸怀国之大者，以扎实学识服务社会，以开拓精神勇担重任，努力成长为可堪大用、能担重任的时代新人，为中华民族伟大复兴贡献青春力量。
Wang Haibo emphasized that the competition serves as an important initiative by Shaanxi’s education system to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC and to contribute to the building of a strong education system and a vibrant cultural nation. It has provided a platform for students in Sino-foreign cooperative education programs to demonstrate their abilities and engage in mutual learning and exchange. Wang stressed that Shaanxi, as a major cradle of Chinese civilization and a leading province in science and education, remains committed to opening up its education sector. By leveraging opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative, the province is transforming its geographical and cultural strengths into advantages for educational development. These efforts are consistently enhancing the quality and effectiveness of Sino-foreign cooperative education, thereby strongly supporting the "Double First-Class" initiative in higher education and the cultivation of high-quality international talents.
He expressed his hope that students would broaden their global perspectives, embrace open-mindedness and thorough communication, and serve as bridges and envoys to enhance understanding and build mutual trust in the context of global civilizational exchanges. He also encouraged them to strengthen their cultural confidence, employ innovative and internationally accessible forms of expression to tell China’s stories well, and highlight the unique charm of Chinese culture in intercultural dialogues. Furthermore, he urged students to keep the nation’s overarching goals at heart, apply solid knowledge to serve society, take on responsibilities with a pioneering spirit, and strive to become a new generation capable of undertaking great responsibilities and contributing to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
陕西理工大学特莱恩工学院始终以培养具有国际视野与家国情怀的高素质工程技术人才为己任，高度重视学生英语实际应用能力与跨文化交流素养的提升。为此，学院英语语言中心积极组织并强化各类英语竞赛培训机制，系统提升学生语言综合运用与竞技水平。在本次大赛中，我院学子取得的优异成绩，不仅充分展现了参赛同学出色的英语能力与文化素养，更是特莱恩工学院在中外合作办学背景下英语教学成效的有力印证。我院学生在2025年英语类学科竞赛中实现历史性突破，我院学子代表陕西理工大学参加第27届“外研社 国才杯”全国大学生英语辩论赛省级银奖，我院学子与国际发展与教育学院、艺术学院学生共同参加第八届“外教社杯”全国高校学生跨文化能力大赛获得省级二等奖。学院将以此为契机，进一步推进英语教学改革，持续拓展与国际教育机构的深度合作，不断为学生搭建拓宽视野、锻炼能力、展示才华的高水平平台。
The Trine Engineering Institute of Shaanxi University of Technology has always been committed to cultivating high-quality engineering and technical talents with global vision and national sentiment, placing strong emphasis on enhancing students' practical English application skills and cross-cultural literacy. To this end, the institute's English Language Center has actively organized and strengthened training mechanisms for various English competitions, systematically improving students' comprehensive language proficiency and competitive capabilities.The outstanding achievements of our students in this competition not only fully demonstrate their excellent English skills and cultural awareness but also serve as powerful validation of the English teaching effectiveness at the institute within the context of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
Our institute has achieved a historic breakthrough in 2025 English discipline competitions: our students, representing Shaanxi University of Technology, won a provincial silver award in the 27th "FLTRP·ETIC Cup" National English Debating Competition for College Students. Additionally, in collaboration with students from School of International Development and Education and School of Art, they secured a provincial second prize in the 8th "SFLEP Cup" National Intercultural Competence Contest for College Students.
Building on this momentum, the institute will further advance English teaching reform, deepen cooperation with international educational institutions, and continuously provide students with high-level platforms to broaden their horizons, hone their skills, and showcase their talents.
